Backup
Computerised information is often one of the most important assets a business has and losing access to valuable data can have very serious consequences. Yet a comprehensive backup strategy is often overlooked in business, or attempted as an afterthought, but at Tiger Computing we take backup very seriously.
Whether the information runs to a few Megabytes, or to many Terabytes, the same best-practice approach is taken to the design and implementation of the system. Generally, we recommend data backups over a secure network to at least two disparate and remote locations. In certain circumstances a tape based backup system is more appropriate, but there are many considerations to be taken into account.
