Ben Tullis

Ben joined Tiger Computing in June of 2009, bringing with him 11 years of experience of delivering highly-available, resilient computing platforms and a strong focus on Linux support. He has crafted bespoke, Linux-based server solutions for such diverse environments as the UK's Airwave network, one sub-Antarctic Island and two scientific research ships, among many others.

Following a background studying physics at Heriot-Watt University, Ben entered the IT sector and immediately began supporting users in a wide range of heterogeneous computing networks. In the course of this professional career Ben has also gained significant experience of Windows, NetWare, Solaris and VMware systems administration, but it is the involvement with Linux and the free software movement that really underlies his enthusiasm within this industry.

When he is not working with computers, Ben enjoys driving and mending old cars, playing unicycle hockey and learning Welsh.
