High Availability

High Availability -

When a working server is critical to your business success, a redundant backup server that kicks in when needed can keep your business running. This is what's known as a high-availability configuration, where each individual element has a corresponding spare that automatically takes over if there is any technical problem with the primary. This approach includes not only the servers themselves, but also the network connections that they use to communicate and the power that they use.

It's clear to see that this has many benefits for a business because it means that a critical facility can be designed to be impervious to any hardware failure, to planned maintenance outages and to other unforeseen problems.

Over the years, Tiger Computing has gained experience in designing and deploying a wide range of high-availability Linux based systems, including web, database, storage and email services.
