“Having someone in-house may seem like a good fit, but by its very nature they’ll always be more of a generalist because they’re not living and breathing Linux every day. We, and our clients, needed someone who was, and so we made the decision to look for external support. But we didn’t want one of the large ISPs where we’d need to make a dozen calls to get an issue escalated to someone with the technical know-how to fix it. We wanted a team who were absolutely at the top of their game, who were large enough to manage any request we may have of them, but where we’d actually know the names of those in our support team.”
We worked with Matrix to standardise some of their working practices, we built servers and set up full support for these in our data centres, we took on server monitoring and back-ups, and we also took over server access for the Matrix team and any freelancers. Because uptime was so important, and because the client had existing hardware, we designed a bespoke solution focused around paired High Availability clusters to make sure that if one server fails another automatically takes over, and we supported the client with the deployment of live and developer sites.
Our knowledge of the CMS systems Matrix uses, especially WordPress, means that we quite literally speak the same language as them. And they love the fact that we have the expertise of the conglomerates – if not more – but that we offer the ultimate in accountability and personal service too.
“When you’re outsourcing business critical services you need the right fit, and for us the Tiger team is just that. They provide a granular level of service and are a true virtual digital team member. I’d absolutely recommend Tiger Computing to any agency or firm who wants the very best Linux support out there.”
