Tiger Computing is now a Proxmox Authorised Reseller, extending the ways in which we can help organisations evaluate, adopt and support Linux-based infrastructure.

The partnership enables us to provide official subscriptions for Proxmox Virtual Environment (Proxmox VE), alongside the Linux knowledge and practical advice our clients already expect from us.

Proxmox VE is a complete, open-source server management platform for enterprise virtualisation. Based on Debian GNU/Linux, it brings KVM virtual machines and Linux Containers together with software-defined storage, networking, clustering and management through a single web interface.

For organisations considering their virtualisation options, its open-source foundation offers an alternative to proprietary platforms. That may be particularly relevant to businesses reviewing VMware, planning new on-premises or private-cloud infrastructure, or looking for greater control over a Linux-based environment.

More Than A Virtualisation Platform Decision

Choosing a virtualisation platform isn’t simply a matter of comparing feature lists or licence costs. You need to consider the workloads it will run, the hardware and storage available, application dependencies, resilience, backup and recovery, security, internal skills and the support model needed once the environment is in production.

In some cases, Proxmox VE will be a strong fit. In others, particular workloads or operational requirements may make a different approach more appropriate. We believe you should understand that before committing to a migration or a new architecture.

Our role is to help you ask the right questions, understand the technical and operational implications and make a decision grounded in your own environment. If you want the business implications explained clearly, we’ll keep the conversation clear and practical. If your infrastructure team wants to examine clustering, storage, networking or migration in depth, we’ll go as technical as they need us to.

We’re human and we can be as technical as you want us to be.

Official Proxmox Subscriptions Through Tiger

Proxmox VE can be downloaded and used as open-source software. An active Proxmox subscription provides access to the Proxmox Enterprise Repository, which contains the stable package stream recommended by Proxmox for production environments. Depending on the subscription level, it can also provide a defined entitlement to technical support from Proxmox.

As an Authorised Reseller, Tiger can supply these subscriptions and help you consider the appropriate option for your environment. Proxmox vendor support and any services provided by Tiger remain distinct, so you can understand what is included, where responsibilities sit and how issues would be escalated.

A Natural Extension Of Our Linux Expertise

Tiger Computing has specialised in Linux since 2002. Proxmox VE’s Debian foundation and its use of established Linux technologies make the partnership a natural addition to our work.

It also means our conversations can begin with your organisation rather than the product. You may already run Proxmox and want to put subscriptions or clearer support arrangements in place. You may be assessing alternatives to VMware. You may simply want to understand whether Proxmox belongs on the shortlist for a new virtualisation project.

Whatever your starting point, we’ll help you examine the options without pretending that one answer suits every environment.
